CAPTAIN: BEN BAYLIS – British (2nd season) Ben joined ENTOURAGE for the 2015 season. Ben has 27 years’ experience on mega yachts including the very popular MY GIORGIA where he spent 5 extremely successful years, building up an excellent charter reputation with both clients and brokers. Previous yachts have included M/Y Sealyon, where he added to his already excellent charter reputation. Prior to this, he commanded both private and charter vessels ranging from 25m to 40m for 8 years, including working for the same family for four years on M/Y Tsalta, M/Y Serendipity II and M/Y Serendipity of Cayman. Ben is a very hands-on captain with extensive knowledge of all areas of yacht management and organization. His personal interests include kite surfing, windsurfing, water-skiing, wakeboarding and sailing, as well as being an advanced open water scuba diver. Ben is a 5* Captain – one of the best! Hailed for his professionalism and welcoming nature, recently described as calm, fantastic with his crew and so hands on. An absolute pro, friendly, communicative and a great asset to any charter!

OFFICER: ANDY HEGGS – British (2nd season) Andrew (35, from the Isle of Man) joined M/Y Entourage as First Officer in November 2014, following four years on board Feadships M/Y Monaco, M/Y Teleost and M/Y Ocean Mercury. Subsequent to joining the yachting industry, Andrew held the position as Operations Director for International Asset Group, (IAG) a London and Atlanta based Private Equity Company. The geographic nature of his work allowed Andrew to take advantage of his passion for the ocean and the activities attributed to it. Andrew finally succumbed to his keen interest in all things nautical and made the transition from finance, furthering his life-long desire for sailing into a successful career in the yachting industry. In addition to sailing, Andrew has a love for all things ‘alfresco’, his early vocation as an Outdoor Instructor, gained him qualifications in rock climbing, kayaking, outdoor survival, and mountaineering. Andrew also has difficulty keeping his head above the water and since the age of 14 he has taken his foremost passion for scuba diving to both temperate and cold water climates including the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans as well as the Caribbean, Mediterranean and UK with an instructor’s certification to quantify his enthusiasm.

BOSUN: THOMAS ATTENBOROUGH – South African (1st season) Tom hails from Durban, South Africa where, after completing a degree in Business Commerce Management Sciences he decided to take a career on the high seas. Tom gained his first position in 2013 on M/Y Morning Star and later spent 18 months on M/Y Campo Verde. Joining Entourage for her first Caribbean season Tom brings to the team his energetic and hard-working attitude and good sense of humour. Having just gained his Yacht Master Offshore 200gt, Tom is looking to progress in the industry and has a goal of running his own vessel in the future. When not busy on deck Tom enjoys scuba diving, fishing, golf and is an avid sports fanatic.

ROTATIONAL CHIEF ENGINEER: DANI – Croatian (2nd season) Dani joined Entourage during the early stages of the yachts construction period, overseeing the engineering side of the shipyard project. Dani holds his Commercial Unlimited Engineering ticket with 10 years’ experience in the Merchant Navy followed by 9 years yachting experience. Dani is very electronically minded and dedicated to keeping the boat running smoothly.

2ND ROTATIONAL CHIEF ENGINEER: Josip Bastek (Croatian) 1st Season Josip joins MY Entourage as Rotational Chief Engineer with 20 years’ experience in the yachting industry. After completing Maritime School and obtaining his license as a commercial engineer, Josip began his professional career on cargo ships as 2nd Engineer where he then spent 8 years in commercial shipping. Josip then joined the yachting industry in 1996 on MY Giada where he worked as Chief Engineer for the next 17 years. Since then he has worked on board various yachts including MY Serenity II, 40m, and SY Montigne, 57m.

CHEF ED VILJOEN – SOUTH AFRICAN 1st Season on board Languages: English Ed is a City & Guilds trained chef, working for the past 16 years as Head Chef in various world-renowned restaurants, boutique hotels and on private yachts. Ed joined the yachting industry in 2012 as chef on MY Bliss, 45m, where he cooked for 12 guests with a variety of dietary requirements, creating daily menus with Mediterranean and Asian influence. Ed has successfully established three restaurants during his career and built a reputation of creating fantastic quality food. Ed’s creative passion for food and excellent knowledge of wine, combined with experiencing new cultures and cuisines continues to inspire him. Ed is French-style trained, but widely influenced by cuisine in general and uses every opportunity to experiment and expand his repertoire. Ed’s 3 Michelin star experience under Heston Blumenthal at the infamous restaurant ‘The Fat Duck’ in Bray, England, has laid the foundation for a creative, modern and continually-developing cooking style.


CHIEF STEWARDESS: KATARZYNA JANKOWSKA (Kasia) – Polish (2nd season) Kasia was born in Poland but lived for many years in Germany where she ran her own business. 10 years ago she started working on cruise ships which brought her to the private sector of yachting where she started as an all-rounder on a 27m motor yacht. Kasia has continued to work her way up in the industry working on M/Y Odessa as 2nd stew and M/Y Teleost where she was promoted to Chief Stewardess. Joining Entourage in 2014 bringing with her extensive knowledge of service and management of the interior. She has a flair for languages, speaking fluently English, Polish, German and basic Russian. When not busy on board Kasia enjoys scuba diving, skiing and hiking.


2ND STEWARDESS: JEMIMA BENN – British (1st season) Jemima joined the yachting industry in 2013, and has gained an abundance of hospitality experience working the last four seasons on large motor yachts, such as MY Thumper (40m), MY Mary Jean II (62m) MY Alibi (52m) Prior to this Jemima was land based waitressing and housekeeping in an award winning country pub and a historic country house hotel, she also has experience in childcare. Jemima describes herself as outgoing, ambitious and highly motivated and is looking forward to the coming season on board ENTOURAGE. When Jemima has any downtime she enjoys keeping fit, running, swimming and hiking.

3RD STEWARDESS: LAUREN ROOK – New Zealander (1st season) Wanting a change of pace from her previous career in Civil Engineering, Lauren joined the yachting industry in April 2015. enjoying the challenges and adventures that the industry brings. Having completed a Mediterranean season on M/Y Odessa, Lauren joined Entourage for the 2015/16 Caribbean season. Lauren has experience with wine vintages, selections and food pairing having worked as a barista at a vineyard in New Zealand. When not busy on board Lauren enjoys hiking and equestrian (dressage, show jumping and eventing).

DECKHAND: DANIEL TARR – SOUTH AFRICAN (1st season) Daniel grew up by the ocean and would regularly go with his family to lakes and dams for wakeboarding and tubing vacations. Having spent the last 3 years in the yachting industry Daniel is here to stay and he is looking forward to progressing through the industry as far as he can. Prior to joining the industry Daniel worked in the hospitality industry, he can make over 150 different cocktails several of which are his own creations. When not busy Daniel enjoys surfing, snow-boarding, golf, and rock climbing.
