ST. BARTS

St. Bart’s Island is known for being a popular celebrity hotspot – and for good reason. Its eight square miles of volcanic rock make up a tropical paradise, home to pristine beaches, luxury yachts and designer boutiques. Gustavia, the capital of the island, remains a beautiful port harbour, as it was in its early days of colonization. The city has long since traded its war goods shops for those of luxury goods and electronics, but it has preserved beautiful colonial architecture from its Swedish era. You can visit The Wall House which is a fine example – a two-storey stone building that is both the island library and its primary museum. You can watch the passersby while drinking a latte on the terrace of a waterfront café,or walk along the pier and admire the abundance of luxury yachts. On the outskirts of town, you can hike up to Fort Gustave to explore ancient ruins and see the breathtaking view of the port. Scuba dive into untouched coves, surf the waves, or just take in the hot sun – the balmy weather of St. Bart’s is year-round!

ANTIGUA

Antigua is a true oasis; its sheltered bays have long been used to seek refuge from violent storms – by pirates and admirals alike. It is a lush green paradise with historical British charm and colourful villages.Explore the antique beauty of Nelson’s Dockyard, one of Antigua’s top sightseeing gems, a restored Georgian-era marina that was once used by the British Royal Navy. Visit the Frigate Bird Sanctuary in the expansive Codrington Lagoon National Park which is home to over 5000 of these beautiful birds. Watch the mesmerizing sunset at Devil’s Bridge, or snack and stroll through the vibrant streets of the colourful town bazaar. Like most of its island neighbours, Antigua’s sandy beaches are surrounded by palms and coconuts, and crystal clear turquoise waters.

BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

With its serene currents, light winds and beautiful protected bays, the British Virgin Islands are one of the hottest spots in the world for yacht charters. In Spanish town, hike through volcanic rock caves to Devil’s Bay – a picturesque white sandy beach. Surf along Josiah’s Bay, or have a sip of your favourite icy cool cocktail at one of Cane Garden’s beachside bars. But if you’re serious about your alcohol – you’ll want to visit one of the oldest running distilleries in the Eastern Caribbean – Callwood Rum Distillery.  Or if you just want to enjoy some food, you can have a remarkable picnic among the stone ruins of CopperMine National Park, where you’ll enjoy the charming view of the blue sea below. If you’re on the more adventurous side – you can even scuba dive among world famous shipwrecks, like the RMS Rhone. But no matter where you go or what you do in the British Virgin Islands, its renowned turquoise waters and perfect year-round weather will always leave you with unforgettable memories.
